RiRa Craic Tour 2014
Once again RiRa and Longer Vacations are joining forces to deliver a travel experience that towers head and shoulders above the rest. No tour out there offers such a unique perspective of this amazing country. We’ll expose you to a side of Ireland, that many don't get to experience. On the RiRa Craic Tour, YOU create your own unique journey, and put your own stamp on your vacation. At the same time, travel with a bunch of fun loving, RiRa Regulars. And we are inviting you to join us.
Every year, The Craic Tour has been different, exploring a different part of the country, bringing you to unusual places in Ireland, and making sure that you get the most authentic experience possible. You will meet the locals and interact with the country and culture in an authentic and natural way.
But a little warning: The pace of this trip is pretty fast, we explore some of Irelands greatest cities and towns, each hand picked to show you a different side of the country, and a slightly different experience. It will be worth it.

We had never done the group trip before, but the tour had everything and so much more. I would recommend that anyone that wants to visit Ireland and wants a guaranteed great time to sign up for a future trip
What an amazing experience, such a coming together of fun loving people with a common liking for a pint or two
October 5th Sunday
Depart on our overnight flight to Dublin, and you will be able to sit back, enjoy a movie and a nice nap. Tomorrow is going to be a Big day!
October 6th Monday
We start off in the capital city of Dublin, always a great place to get the party started, now with Rí Rá’s sister pub open, we’ll stop by for a drink! Use your time wisely, whether this is your first visit to Dublin or 5th, you won’t be at a loss for things to do. We are here for a good time not a long time. You can visit the home of Guinness, or the Jameson distillery or the historic sites of Dublin Castle or Trinity College. You will learn quickly that this tour is about your needs. But were here to point you in the right direction.
Hotel: Camden Court Hotel
October 7th Tuesday
This morning we take it slow as we depart for Cork City by train. This beautiful journey takes us through the Heart of Ireland and you get to sit back and take it all in. Cork is set on the beautiful River Lee Cork and is a wonderful city to explore on foot. Cork is often excluded from many tourists itinerary, and it truly is their loss, maybe they heard about the Corkonians (as they call themselves) they are all half mad (I can say this, I was born there). Be sure to try the Murphy's!
Hotel: Gresham- Metropole (in the center of town)
October 8th Wednesday
Today we are going to slow things down, and move away from the City life. As we travel from Cork to Kenmare (by coach) we will pass though some of the beautiful towns and villages in Ireland, hugging the coastline and stopping in the beautiful Seaside Village of Bantry for lunch, and maybe a quick pint… before moving on to Kenmare. The journey is an experience and you won’t be disappointed. Kenmare is the sister of the busy tourist spot of Killarney, and it couldn't be more unique. The town is bursting with personality, so pull up a stool and start talking to some of those locals.
Hotel: Kenmare Bay Hotel
October 9th Thursday
Leaving Kenmare and driving into Killarney, through Killarney National park, on towards Aunnascaul and into Dingle. You will know something special just happened.
Dingle is simply stunning and in many ways defines Ireland and Irish life. If you have an interest in pubs (and you better) this is the place for you. But its much more than that, I’m not sure I know another place in Ireland (or beyond) that tells the story of the land and its people in such a fascinating way. Your going to love tomorrow!
Hotel: Dingle Skellig Hotel
October 10th Friday
The Grand finale! and you won’t want to miss it! As we head out along the Slea Head drive, looking out on the Blasket Islands from the Head which is Europe’s most westerly point, you will feel like pinching yourself to be sure this is real. Jagged coastline, Sheer Cliffs, Rolling hills, countless stone walls… You get the idea. Welcome to Ireland.
Hotel: Skellig Hotel
October 11th Saturday
It’s always a tough day. That final ride to the airport is always the longest part of the tour, and we will all wish we had more time.. but reality calls. Our Afternoon flight will get us in… well, in the afternoon. Thanks time zones for that.
