Itinerary:

DAY 1 – Depart USA

Board your overnight transatlantic flight (cost not included in land only price).

DAY 2 – Arrive in Dublin, Ireland

Welcome to Dublin! At 2 p.m., begin a city tour. Visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Trinity College to see the 8th century Book of Kells. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Dinner with wine. (Welcome Dinner)

DAY 3 – Dublin / Stranorlar

Travel north to Belleek. At Belleek Pottery watch skilled craftsmen produce fine china. Then, pass the rolling Blue Stack Mountains which straddle the center of Donegal. Arrive in Ballybofey and its twin town, Stranorlar. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 4 – Glenveagh National Park Excursion

Covering nearly 14,000 acres, this park encompasses Lough Veagh, Poisoned Glen and the largest herd of red deer in the country. Take a guided tour of sumptuous Glenveagh Castle or just stroll through the formal gardens. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 5 – Stranorlar / Connemara

See W.B. Yeats’ grave at a Drumcliff churchyard, then continue to Knock, a humble pilgrimage village. Travel on to Cong, and tour Cong Abbey, founded in the 12th century. Next, drive through captivating Connemara. Later, delight in a dinner cruise on the River Corrib. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 6 – Galway Excursion

Head over to Galway this morning, and explore the “City of Tribes” on your own. Then drop in at Rathbaun Farm for a You’re Personally Invited Lunch. Return to your hotel on Galway Bay for dinner. (Breakfast, You’re Personally Invited, Dinner)

DAY 7 – Connemara / Cliffs of Moher / Killarney

Heading south, stop at the Cliffs of Moher and gaze out at the Atlantic Ocean, 700 feet below. Then, cross the Shannon Estuary, visit the Flying Boat Museum at Foynes and sample some Irish Coffee before traveling to Killarney. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 8 – Ring of Kerry Excursion

Travel the road that winds around the beautiful Iveragh Peninsula, better known as the Ring of Kerry. Stopping at Torc Waterfall, there is a chance to join a leisurely guided hike. For those who do not want to join the hike, the motorcoach will return you to Killarney. (Breakfast) NOTE: The hike travels over wooded paths and lakeshore trails. While there are no mountains to climb, walkers need to be fit, have good walking shoes or boots, sunscreen and raingear.

DAY 9 – Killarney / Cork

Stroll around the quaint artist village of Kenmare, then take in the splendid vistas as you journey to Glengarriff. Board a boat and set out on the short journey to gardens on Garnish Island. Continue to Cork city and your hotel on the River Lee. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 10 – Cork / Cobh / Dublin

Today visit the port of Cobh. The Heritage Centre brings the gripping story of emigration to life. Return to Dublin where the evening is free. (Breakfast)

DAY 11 – Depart Dublin

Take an included transfer to the airport where your vacation ends. (Breakfast)
